Donald Trump’s presidency has been a lot of things, but I am pretty sure one thing Democrats and Republicans can agree on is that it has been very interesting to watch.
The Commander-in-Stupid at a rally on Wednesday, was greeted by a standing ovation when he proposed a new law to his supporters. The only problem being such a law already exists.
President Trump in a rally on Wednesday evening said immigrants who enter the United States should not be eligible for welfare benefits for five years, though such a law has already existed for 20 years.
“The time has come for new immigration rules which say that those seeking admission into our country must be able to support themselves financially and should not use welfare for a period of at least five years,” Trump told a crowd in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the U.S. Cellular Center.
Trump carried on to say his administration would be “putting in legislation to that effect very shortly.”
At this point we don’t know whether Trump and his administration are just utterly incompetent or whether they are compulsive liars.
The Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996, was passed by Bill Clinton’s administration. It states immigrants are “not eligible for any Federal means-tested public benefit” for five years, which starts on the date the immigrant enters the country.
Aside from creating laws that already exist Trump at his rally stated he didn’t want poor people on his Cabinet because they would ruin the economy. Mind you this is coming from a man who declared bankruptcy and whose father’s wealth was made ripping off the United States government. You literally can’t make this up.

We don’t like to jump on the Trump hate bandwagon but sometimes he does something so stupid we have to write an article on him.
