McDonald’s has opened up a new fancy restaurant in Rotterdam, Netherlands. It’s not hard to see that they were heavily influenced by Apple stores.
The glass-enclosed restaurant, designed by Dutch firm Mei Architects features “a perforated golden facade and a grand spiral staircase,” Dezeen Magazine reports.
The firm was hired because the residents of Rotterdam called it the “ugliest building in Rotterdam”, city officials even considered tearing it down according to Dezeen.
The interior of the restaurant matches the modern look of the building, there are plenty of leather coaches and tons of lounging space.
