It is rare for an entire cast to turn heads on the red carpet, aside from making one of the best superhero movies of 2018. The Black Panther cast have also shown us that they are as stylish as they are good actors. Wakanda definitely made its presence felt at the Oscars. First up was Chadwick Boseman, who wore a Givenchy couture topcoat with a kingly lapel. Marvels newest cash cow showed he meant business.
Each of the cast members had a different vision, Lupita Nyong’o dazzled with her Atelier Versace dress which dripped with sequence. Lupita wore the dress like a Queen and hidden away in a traditional Rwandan hairstyle was her golden crown.
Danai Gurira opted for minimalist refinement in a pale pink Gabriela Hearst dress accented by a sleek diamond choker from Messika jewelry and a surprising bit of intricate hair art by Vernon Scott. Gurira paired nicely with co-star Daniel Kaluuya, who wore a bronze velvet Brunello Cucinelli blazer, a sleek alternative to black tie.
Winston Duke, the newcomer of the cast who shined on-screen as M’Baku, looked dapper in a streamlined Etro tux adorned with a silver tasseled scarf.
