According to developer Srettha Thavisin, the property market in Thailand is booming. Thavisin says now is the time to invest in property, whether it’s for the affordable luxury housing , or for the political stability that has engulfed South Asian country in the past 18 months.
Thavisin who started of with a plot of land his family owned, now owns a company which is amongst Thailand’s leading real-estate developers. Many British expats have already invested in his property and there is continuing interest being show by buyers from China, Taiwan, Malaysia and Japan.
Unlike the weather in the UK which in recent months has been the proof any climate change denier should look at. Thailand’s capital Bangkok has great weather year round, and better yet Thailand has lower cost of living compared to other capitals. There are numerous international schools so you children won’t have to learn Thai straightaway.
There are also two large international airports with three direct flights to London so it’s a well-connected city.
RETTHA THAVISIN is president of Sansiri PLC. Founded in 1984, the company has since launched almost 300 projects, totaling more than 78,000 single houses, townhouses and condominium units in 14 provinces in Thailand. It is also official partner of UNICEF, donating emergency funding where it’s needed most; sansiri.com
