Previously known as Kings Reach, the original 1970’s South Bank Tower has since been transformed into luxury residential accommodation, office and retail space.
At 42 storeys, the tower offers unparalleled views of London and the tower boasts 193 luxury apartments. This comes out to 340,000 square metres of offices, 65,000 square metres of retail space, a 25 metre long swimming pool, a communal roof terrace, residents’ lounge, gym, screening room and business lounge.
Although, the tower has some amazing apartment, for this article, I want to focus on the duplex penthouses that are house on the 39th and 40th floor. It’s not just their sheer scale (the duplexes are 4,135 sq ft, not including the terrace). And if you want the design input from either Design Haus Liberty or 1508 London this price will go up to £25 million.
One of the penthouses on the 41st floor is one of the most expensive in London at £ 90 million. It has an open layout sculptured staircases and glass bathroom walls which will make most bathrooms at this price range seem moot.
And because the penthouse is located in the South Bank Tower, it comes with the best concierge service in London. Consort24 is a bespoke concierge brand that has been specifically set up for the residents at South Bank. The 30-strong team speak 12 languages between them.
“More than a concierge, which can mean anything these days, it’s like having a lifestyle PA who knows every resident personally,” says Chris Richmond, head of sales at CIT, South Bank Tower’s developer. “Our residents are all wealthy. They are cash rich and time poor. If we know someone plays golf every Saturday morning, our concierge will be in contact with his PA and we’ll have his car and clubs waiting.”
