Check Out These Award-Winning Photos Of Weddings Around The World.

Its almost summer and everyone has probably been invited to at least one wedding.  You are probably still trying to get the bits and bobs to make your outfit complete because wedding photos last forever. 

In the western world we are used to a certain type of wedding, but wherever you are in the world weddings change.  

In order to “promote and celebrate the art of wedding photography from around the globe,” the International Wedding Photographer of the Year (IWP) Awardshave released their list of the best wedding photos from 2017.

Professional wedding photographers from around the world put their best snaps in contention. The 9 categories — Single Capture, From Above, Black & White, Epic Location, Solo Portrait, Dance Floor, Bridal Party, Album, and Couple Portrait.

The International Wedding Photographer of the Year winner receives $3,000 and a range of camera equipment.

Grand Prize Winner & Category Winner, Solo Portrait: Erica Mann captured a double rainbow after a storm in Cougar Creek in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.

Category Winner, Black & White: This bittersweet moment between a father and daughter was captured in at a wedding in Massachusetts, USA.

Category Winner, Couple Portrait: Canadian photographer Jayme Lang somehow managed to convince this couple to lie down in the expensive wedding attire to capture this creative shot. 

Runner Up & Category Winner, Single Capture: Photographer Paul Woo said he was ‘secretly bawling behind the camera’ as the son of the bride expressed his emotion seeing his mother come down the aisle.

Category Winner, Epic Location: The couple who Mike Valley captured this shot for said: ‘If we only had a single image to describe this day this would be it.’

Category Winner, From Above: One of the more daring of the pictures on this list photographer Adrian O’Neill said: ‘The actual shot was taken by me standing in the back of the convertible hanging on for dear life, but was so worth it.’
