Elijah Precciely is an 11-year-old child prodigy who has proven that age is just a number. Whilst most kids are heading of to camp for summer, Precciely will be heading to Southern University Honors College. He plans to study physics and mechanical engineering, all on a full scholarship.
Precciely was home-schooled and at an early age he began to excel taking college level classes in subjects such as biology, physics, and business at the age of 8-years-old through the university. The credits he picked up during this time will allow him to attend the college, not only as a pre-teen but as a sophomore.
“I knew at a certain point that I did not understand some of the vernacular that he was talking about,” explained his mother, Pamela Precciely to WAFB. “I said, ‘I got to get him some help.’ I knew Southern University had the resources.”
Precciely will attend the university on the J.S. Clark Presidential Scholar Award and was welcomed to the Southern community with a special signing ceremony where he received a Southern University baseball cap, Letterman jacket, and pin.
“When I reflect upon this prestigious Joseph S. Clark Presidential Scholars Award, it means absolutely legacy,” Elijah commented. “Southern University is our inheritance to sharpen and affirm our skills and carry out our initial standards to transform lives and be the best God has called us to be.”
On top of all his academic achievements, Precciely has published a book, has applied for a number of patents and hosts his own radio show every week.
Elijah Precciely is certainly the Gentleman Of The Week, and we look forward to reporting on this young man’s future achievements.
