I don’t know why some people don’t seem to understand that animals are dangerous and we should stay away from them.
I recently saw a trending video of a man in South Africa who gets ripped apart by a lion after he leaves the cage that was keeping him safe.
A group of thieves in Texas stole a shark from the San Antonio Aquarium, wrapped it in a wet blanket and smuggled it out disguised as a baby in a stroller.
Yes you read that right, a group of people got together and rationalised that stealing a shark is a smart move.
Three people were filmed by surveillance cameras taking a female horn shark named Ms Helen out of her tank, then leaving. Ms Helen is a horn shark and they are known to grow up to 3ft but Ms Helen has defied odds and grown to 16 inches.
The aquarium wrote on Facebook that they had immediately noticed the theft but were unable to stop the suspects. It said:
“Called the police. Followed them to the car and everything… can’t exactly force them to give it back, the police had to do that.”
Leon Valley Police Department chief Joseph Salvaggio told ABC News affiliate KSAT12 that he first thought the theft was a joke.
He said: “When we first got the call, we thought it was kind of a hoax being that it was Shark Week last week, but it turns out someone actually went inside the aquarium there in Leon Valley and stole a horn shark.”
Yes it’s a slow news day, but we couldn’t ignore someone stealing shark, the idiocy and bravery has to be applauded.
