The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève is a big deal, the event was created in 2001 to promote the best watchmakers in the world and they reward the most technical and eye-wateringly complex watches and this years winner is no exception.
Some consider the Grand Prix to be the world cup of the watch world, the recipient of 2018’s Aiguille d’Or was the Récital 22 Grand Récital, a tourbillon from Swiss manufacture Bovet.
This is mo ordinary tourbillion, the watch gives the wearers a view of the world as seen from above Bovet’s HQ in Môtiers. The re is also a 3-D moon travelling around the globe and a sun represented by a flying tourbillon.
The watch come in red gold or platinum, with a large 46mm diameter which houses a perpetual calendar to the back, and a visible measurement of hour, day, month and leap year in corresponding windows.
