The Style Gurus Spotlighting African Fashion.

Men’s fashion is in good health, reports say as a global industry, it is forecast to outpace womenswear by 2022.

We have seen the old, rigid rules of men’s fashioned be replaced by dynamic and unregulated street-wear.  This has been the result of fashion accepting influences from all corners of the world.

And nowhere has seen a rise in global prominence in men’s fashion over the past decade more than Africa.

This is evidenced in the growth of fashion weeks in Africa including Men’s Fashion Week Nigeria, South Africa Fashion Week is going into its 21st year and showcases some of the best men’s fashion.

In Europe, at Pitti Immagine Uomo 89 in 2015, a group show called ‘Generation Africa’ caught the eye of international press and attendees. Hosted by the Fondazione Pitti Discovery and the ITC Ethical Fashion Initiative, the event propelled up-and-coming designers of the African diaspora on to the international stage.

Edmond Kamara is Londoner who started the fashion blog Cuts For Him, similar to us he wants to make men dress to be addressed again, you won’t find many casual outfits in lookbook.
